Music has always been deemed the world’s universal language. It has the power to unite cultures, religions and even generations. No matter the genre, there’s also something special about being able to experience the art form via live concerts, and it’s even better when you can do so with the people you love. Seeing your favorite artist in person—and often with a live band to accompany them—adds an extra flare to the songs that you’ve already come to know and love.
Not to be taken in the literal sense, "we outside" is an expression that was popularized post-pandemic to describe simply getting out of the house to enjoy life—after being inside for so long. So, while the listed concerts may not physically be outdoors, we're certainly eager to get out and see our favorite artists perform live.
If you’re eager to be outside this year, you’re in luck, as 2024 is definitely aiming to be a year of live performances. From the soulful sounds of Ledisi to Super Bowl LVIII showstopper, Usher, here are some of the tours to check out in 2024.
Ledisi: The Good Life Tour
Dates: Mar. 6- Jun. 22
We could never label songstress Ledisi as a “Perfect Stranger” as her vocals have always been familiar to our ears. Fresh off the heels of 10th studio album, “Good Life” which released on March 1, 2024, the New Orleans native will soon hit the road for her 29-city tour. Accompanying her on select stops will be fellow R&B swooners BJ the Chicago Kid and Raheem DeVaughn.
Boyz II Men Tour
Dates: Apr. 5- Sept. 29
It may be hard to say goodbye to yesterday, but Boyz II Men is making it easy on us by bringing us all of their classics during this 2024 tour. While it doesn’t have an official name like other tours on this list, we can expect the same harmonies that make us want to get down “On Bended Knee”. Catch the group all over the world—literally. Tour cities include: Dubai, London and Amsterdam, as well as a host of US spots, too.
Janet Jackson: Together Again Tour
Dates: Apr. 27- Jul. 30
What she wants is us together again, and that’s exactly what she’s going to get. Janet Jackson is signing on for the tour bus life once again this summer, and eager fans are excited. With her energetic moves and often rock hard abs, Ms. Jackson—if you’re nasty—will make stops across the US and even a special stop at Atlantis Bahamas in Paradise Island, The Bahamas.
John Legend: An Evening with John Legend Tour
Dates: May 31- Aug. 16
Mr. “Ordinary People” himself will make several stops across the US and parts of Europe for an intimate experience. Titled “An Evening with John Legend”, we’re sure to get those “Honey” vocals that only the singer can belt out. You’ll want to get your tickets sooner than later to avoid any FOMO (fear of missing out).
Jennifer Lopez: This is Me…Now Tour
Dates: Jun. 26- Aug. 17
“Don’t be fooled by the rocks that she’s got, she’s still Jenny from the block.” Triple threat entertainer—actress, dancer and singer—Jennifer Lopez announced a summer tour entitled, “This is Me…Now”, which is also the title of her new Amazon Prime film and latest studio album which released on February 16, 2024. With stops in cities like Miami, Vegas and more—the Bronx hottie is sure to bring the heat like only she can.
Megan Thee Stallion: Hot Girl Summer Tour
Dates: May 14- Jul 27
Hot girls, unite! Meg Thee Stallion aka the ‘Hot Girl Coach’ is taking her talents across the US this summer. The Houston rapper, along with Memphis-born rapper GloRilla, will take on cities like Chicago, NYC, Atlanta and more—with a show that’s sure to make you want to trade in your “Sweetest Pie” persona and instead opt for “Plan B”.
Usher: Past Present Future Tour
Dates: Aug. 14, 2024- May 7, 2025
Now three decades into his storied music career, Mr. U-S-H-E-R R-A-Y-M-O-N-D himself is still giving us the literal definition of doing things “My Way.” Still riding the wave of his viral—and often sold out—Las Vegas residency, Usher is ready to bring fans a worldwide experience in the form of his Past Present Future tour. He’ll cover the US and parts of Europe over the course of nine months.
Other noteworthy tours to check out
